Using a fire blanket

1. Pull the fire blanket out of the storage bag using both black loops.
2. Wrap the top edge around your hands and hold the blanket between yourself and the fire for protection.
3. Approach the fire calmly and always keep a safe escape route clear.
4. Carefully and completely cover the source of the fire with the blanket so that oxygen can no longer reach it.
5. Turn off any heat source if it is safe to do so.
6. Leave the blanket in place until the fire has completely cooled down, and replace the blanket after use.
